Sales Executive - Africa

About the role

A leading technology solutions company is seeking a commercially driven Sales Executive to lead and grow sales activities across an assigned African market. This senior position will manage a sales team, develop new markets and own revenue, profitability and strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop sales activities across an assigned African territory.
• Drive sales growth, account penetration and profitability.
• Manage, mentor and provide direction to the sales team.
• Develop and implement business plans and sales strategies to achieve targets.
• Identify new business opportunities and create action plans to enter new markets.
• Build and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
• Negotiate and close sales and service opportunities.
• Prepare, present and approve bids and quotations.
• Manage sales budgets, expenses and profit margins.
• Monitor industry trends, competitors and target markets to identify opportunities.
• Represent the business at trade shows and industry conferences.
• Collaborate with technical, marketing, logistics, finance and other internal teams.

Required profile

• Matric with Mathematics and Science.
• Diploma in Sales, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in electronic sales, with at least 2 years at senior level.
• Mining industry experience is highly advantageous.
• Product line management experience.
• Strong understanding of budgeting and sales profitability.

Required skills

• Proficient in MS Office.
