Sales & Distribution Virtual Consultant

About the role

Discovery is seeking a Sales & Distribution Virtual Consultant to drive growth of its product portfolio through virtual channels. The role focuses on building strong relationships with financial advisors and intermediary partners, delivering superior client service, and leveraging technical product knowledge to increase sales.

Key responsibilities

• Increase sales of Discovery products by establishing and nurturing relationships with advisors and intermediaries via virtual platforms.
• Develop and execute strategic business partnerships and comprehensive business plans aligned with advisor objectives.
• Manage end‑to‑end new‑business processes, including pipeline review, quotation issuance, and tracking.
• Provide technical training, product support, and ongoing advisory assistance to financial advisors.
• Conduct intermediary reporting, trend analysis, and escalated query resolution.
• Stay informed on competitor offerings, industry developments, and participate in proactive sales and marketing initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in customer service and the insurance industry.
• Knowledge of Discovery’s product suite and financial planning concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and thrive in a target‑driven environment.
• Relevant qualifications such as a business degree, RE5/NQF5 in Wealth Management or FAIS credits are advantageous.
