Sales Development Representative – KwaZulu-Natal

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Sales Development Representative to join Yoco’s KwaZulu‑Natal team. The SDR will own the prospecting and qualification stages, generating qualified appointments for both inside (telesales) and outside (field sales) teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct outbound tele‑marketing and email campaigns targeting specific geographic areas and industry verticals.
• Research and expand prospect lists using LinkedIn, Meta, Google Maps and other in‑house tools.
• Identify strategic accounts, locate decision‑makers, and present initial solutions to start the sales cycle.
• Organise group demos, webinars, live seminars and participate in trade shows to warm leads.
• Perform initial needs assessments, qualify prospects and schedule appointments for sales teams.
• Maintain accurate activity records in the CRM and ensure data hygiene.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing and operations to streamline the end‑to‑end sales process.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in SDR, sales or customer support roles.
• Proven ability to turn unengaged prospects into high‑value opportunities.
• Self‑starter with a track record of credible achievements.
• Strong understanding of the payments industry and its software/hardware solutions.
• Customer‑centric mindset with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Dynamic “hunter” personality focused on reaching decision‑makers.
• Team‑oriented and comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment.
