Sales Development Representative (Entry-Level)

About the role

The Sales Development Representative will generate qualified opportunities for Jem's revenue team by prospecting, engaging, and booking meetings with potential employer customers. This entry‑level, fast‑moving role focuses on pipeline creation and supports the sales process from initial contact to hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect target accounts through cold calls, email, LinkedIn, networking and research.
• Identify and qualify potential employer customers and run discovery conversations.
• Book meetings for Account Executives and hand over qualified opportunities.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and report on activity, meeting volume and conversion metrics.
• Attend events and networking sessions to generate leads and share market feedback with sales and product teams.

Required profile

• Enjoy opening conversations and building new relationships.
• Motivated by targets, activity and commercial outcomes.
• Organised, resilient and comfortable with rejection.
• Committed to selling with integrity and understanding customer problems.

Required skills

• Experience using CRM tools, preferably HubSpot.

• Competitive base salary R22,000‑R27,000 per month plus uncapped commission (on‑target earnings ~R12,000).
