Sales Consultant – Telecommunications (Umhlanga, Durban)

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Sales Consultant to join our telecommunications retail team in Umhlanga, Durban. The role involves delivering excellent customer service, driving sales, and maintaining store standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain store appearance, receive deliveries, unpack and restock merchandise, and ensure displays are tidy.
• Operate the till, process cash and card transactions accurately, and handle cash‑up procedures.
• Achieve weekly and monthly sales targets by promoting products, upselling, and generating new customer leads.
• Provide product advice, answer queries, keep up‑to‑date with promotions, and build a loyal customer base.
• Perform general housekeeping, adhere to health and safety policies, and support the Store Manager with any customer care issues.

Required profile

• Matric certificate with basic arithmetic skills.
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving, organisational, and team‑working capabilities.
• Computer literate, target‑driven, self‑motivated and able to work under pressure.
• Retail sales experience is advantageous.
