Sales Assistant

About the role

The Sales Assistant supports the driver/salesperson in daily product deliveries and cash collection for Premier products. This role ensures smooth loading, safe vehicle operation, and accurate cash handling while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and sign off on products against the loading sheet before departure.
• Adhere to scheduled departure times and ensure vehicle safety and hygiene.
• Collect cash from customers and reconcile daily cash collections where applicable.
• Unload products at customer locations efficiently.
• Report any accidents immediately to the transport department and Service Manager.
• Assist the driver with truck reversing according to company SOPs.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Code 10 driver’s licence (advantageous) and PDP.
• 1‑2 years experience in the FMCG industry (advantageous).
• Good people‑management and relationship‑building abilities.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Effective communication at all organisational levels.
• Self‑motivated and responsible.
