Sales Account Manager – Merchant Partnerships

About the role

The ENTERTAINER is seeking a dynamic Sales Account Manager to grow and manage its network of merchant partners across South Africa. You will be responsible for acquiring new merchants, strengthening existing relationships and delivering value to both partners and users in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new merchants across dining, leisure, beauty, fitness and entertainment categories.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and contract closure.
• Collect and process all required documentation for merchant agreements and offers.
• Onboard and train merchants on platform usage, ensuring smooth integration.
• Collaborate with content, operations, marketing and finance teams to maintain merchant satisfaction.
• Monitor merchant performance, feedback and redemptions to drive retention and engagement.
• Support merchants with tactical campaigns and promotional initiatives throughout the year.
• Track daily activities, report progress against KPIs and conduct compliance checks.

Required profile

• Persistent and results‑oriented, able to overcome objections and negotiate professionally.
• Customer‑focused with strong listening skills and the ability to understand client needs.
• Self‑motivated, capable of working independently without close supervision.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to prioritize multiple accounts in a fast‑moving environment.
