Salaried Financial Advisor

About the role

Old Mutual is hiring a salaried financial advisor in Kokstad who advises clients on a defined range of products for a specific allocated market and is individually accountable for achieving results. The role covers customer service, prospecting, business development and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service, process cases, handle complex queries and resolve customer problems.
• Analyze problems and issues to find the best technical or professional solutions.
• Receive visitors, answer information requests and refer complex matters to colleagues.
• Schedule follow-ups and record details in the CRM system after each contact.
• Clarify customer needs, tailor presentations for decision-makers and influencers, and build a relationship management plan for prospects.
• Monitor sales and market data for a specific region and develop a personal network within the business sector.
• Research trends and themes using primary data sources and business intelligence tools.
• Follow organizational policies, regulatory codes and codes of conduct, and obtain supervisor approval for any exceptions.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Valid driver's licence and own car.
• FAIS compliance qualification (NQF Level 5, FSCA approved).
• Clear criminal and credit check.
• At least 3 years of working experience, preferably in sales.

Required skills

• Computer literacy (MS Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Presentation skills are an added advantage.
