Safari Sales Team Leader (Remote, South Africa)

About the role

We are seeking a senior Safari Sales Team Leader to join a boutique luxury safari operator. Working remotely from South Africa, you will manage your own portfolio of bespoke FIT safari enquiries while leading a small, high‑performing international sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop the safari sales team on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Manage complex FIT safari enquiries from initial contact to confirmed booking.
• Design and present customised luxury itineraries across Southern and East Africa.
• Drive individual and team revenue targets in line with business goals.
• Act as the primary destination knowledge resource for the wider sales team.
• Report team performance and pipeline to the Sales Manager.
• Collaborate with operations for seamless handover and post‑sale support.
• Maintain accurate records using Salesforce CRM.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ direct FIT safari sales experience.
• Proven track record of selling high‑end tailor‑made safaris in Southern and East Africa.
• Experience leading and developing a successful sales team.
• Extensive travel experience across safari destinations with strong product knowledge and supplier relationships.
• Ability to mentor consultants, achieve ambitious sales targets and deliver meticulous client service.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce CRM.
