Risk Prevention Officer (Security)

About the role

Medipost Holdings is seeking a disciplined, self‑driven Risk Prevention Officer to join its Risk Management Team in Gezina, Pretoria. You will help maintain a safe, secure environment for the company’s property, personnel and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Observe, identify and report potential risks, crime or disorder promptly.
• Patrol buildings and perimeters, inspect access points, equipment and premises for irregularities.
• Respond to alarms, control visitor traffic and enforce company policies.
• Analyse security footage when required and perform first‑aid or fire‑fighting duties as needed.
• Maintain accurate, timely written reports of incidents, suspicious activities and losses.
• Build effective relationships with employees, department heads, clients and visitors.
• Attend daily roll‑call events, adhere to dress code and two‑way radio protocols.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• PSIRA Registration Grade C.
• 1–2 years proven experience in the security industry.
• Clear criminal record.
• Strong surveillance, observation and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage uncertainty and make objective judgments.
