Retail Sales Consultant – Parkhurst Showroom

About the role

Hertex Fabrics is seeking an enthusiastic Retail Sales Consultant to join its upmarket Parkhurst showroom in Johannesburg. You will be the face of the brand, helping customers discover high‑quality homeware, fabrics, rugs and décor while delivering an exceptional shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell retail products in line with brand standards.
• Build productive relationships with customers and provide tailored advice.
• Maintain showroom presentation and visual merchandising standards.
• Process orders for additional products and support the payment workflow.
• Assist senior sales consultants and manage regular stock takes.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of sales experience in a retail environment.
• Proven experience using a point‑of‑sale (POS) system.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service orientation.
• Self‑motivated, sales‑driven and able to handle physical tasks such as moving heavy rugs.
