Retail Operations Analyst – Cape Town

About the role

Torga Optical is looking for a sharp, analytical professional to join its Cape Town team as a Retail Operations Analyst. You will turn sales, inventory and customer data into actionable insights that support strategic decisions across the brand.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse sales, inventory and customer behaviour to spot trends and growth opportunities.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and regular reports that monitor operational performance.
• Track store performance against KPIs and benchmarks, highlighting areas for improvement.
• Conduct deep‑dive analyses of staffing levels, inventory turnover and markdown optimisation.
• Collaborate with operational and store teams to resolve day‑to‑day challenges.
• Support sales forecasting and budget planning using historical data and market insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in retail analytics or operations analysis.
• Strong understanding of retail KPIs and operational metrics.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and independent work skills.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
