Retail Finance Manager I – Store Operations

About the role

The Retail Finance Manager I will join Clicks Group Limited’s Retail Finance department, supporting store operations from the Cape Town head office. Reporting to the Retail Finance Manager III, the role focuses on driving profitability and operational efficiency across the store network.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate financial support to store operations to meet budgeted profit targets.
• Align store budgets with business objectives and monitor profit performance.
• Identify risks and opportunities, recommend corrective actions and drive cost‑saving initiatives.
• Review financial performance indicators, perform income‑statement analysis and suggest improvements.
• Oversee month‑end journal processing, reporting and balance‑sheet reconciliation.
• Manage the quarterly incentive payout process for stores.
• Prepare weekly store performance updates and support new store budgeting for the 3‑year sales build.

Required profile

• CA (SA) or CIMA qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of finance experience, preferably in retail.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Team‑player, self‑motivated and adaptable.
