Retail Branch Manager – Wellington

About the role

As a Retail Branch Manager you will be responsible for growing the customer base and revenue of Sanlam Retail Mass in Wellington. You will develop and execute the branch strategy, oversee day‑to‑day operations and lead a team of Sales Consultants to deliver an optimal client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the retail branch strategy to increase sales and market share.
• Guide, integrate and standardise the activities of Sales Consultants in line with strategic goals.
• Lead a service‑delivery culture both within and outside the branch to ensure excellent client experiences.
• Manage day‑to‑day branch operations, including compliance, quality and risk management.
• Oversee people practices such as talent management, performance reviews, development, grievance handling and capacity planning.
• Prepare monthly sales and service reports and conduct business planning.
• Identify and engage key internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain relationships.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with RE1 and RE5.
• 120 Wealth Management credits or a tertiary qualification recognised by the FSCA.
• At least 5 years of industry experience, including 3 years in a leadership role.
• Service management, insurance sales, and credit/lending experience.
