Retail Area Manager – Cape Town (Up to R28,000 CTC)

About the role

We are a leading retail company operating 70 specialty stores across South Africa and Namibia. We are looking for a dynamic Retail Area Manager to join our team in Cape Town, reporting to the Manager of Retail Operations. The role is hands‑on, requires frequent travel, and offers an immediate start.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to other provinces and conduct hands‑on shop visits, enforce operational standards and perform stocktakes.
• Ensure accurate financial reconciliations and reporting for each store.
• Resolve store‑related issues promptly and support after‑hours requests.
• Conduct employee training, recruitment, and interview processes.
• Oversee inventory counts and manage delegation of tasks.
• Participate in disciplinary hearings and CCMA procedures after appropriate training.

Required profile

• Female candidates aged 30‑55.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• Minimum education: Grade 12.
• Proven experience in retail area management or a similar role.
• Strong organisational, problem‑solving and leadership abilities.
