Retail Account Manager

About the role

The Retail Account Manager will oversee signed customer contracts, develop and execute project plans, and drive growth opportunities within the retail sector. You will act as the primary liaison between clients and DotActiv, ensuring contract renewal, proper close‑out, and continuous improvement of team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct scoping sessions with customers and prepare data for the scanner.
• Receive scanner input, manage data, and create detailed shelf plans.
• Obtain customer approval for shelf plans and hand them over.
• Build and manage project plans, monitoring progress and timelines.
• Identify and pursue contract renewal, extension, and upsell opportunities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure administrative excellence.
• Optimize individual and team performance, supporting all HR functions.

Required profile

• Consumer Science, Commerce or a related degree from an accredited university.
• 2–3 years of proven business and staff management experience, preferably in a retail environment.
• Strong business acumen and proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Valid driver’s licence and personal vehicle for on‑site client visits.
• Own a Windows‑based laptop (company provides a laptop allowance).

Required skills

• Windows operating system proficiency.

What we offer

• Starting Cost to Company between R13 500 and R26 000 per month.
