Restaurant Supervisor

About the role

The Restaurant Supervisor ensures smooth restaurant operations, high guest satisfaction, and profitability. The role involves staff training, quality control, and adherence to hygiene and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Work required hours to keep the restaurant running efficiently.
• Interact positively with guests, management, and co‑workers to promote teamwork.
• Maintain compliance with Food Hygiene, Health and Safety, and Environmental policies.
• Monitor special requests or functions and adjust operations accordingly.
• Apply GAAP principles to product and payment handling, verify bills, and address billing queries.
• Provide product knowledge of food and beverage menus and make suggestions to guests/residents.
• Attend to reasonable resident requests and exceed service standards.
• Ensure restaurant cleanliness and proper setup before service.
• Supervise the restaurant team, assign tasks, and oversee opening and closing duties.
• Welcome guests, handle feedback professionally, and assist with month‑end reporting.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent; hospitality qualification is advantageous.
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar restaurant or catering environment.
• Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and shift patterns.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of GAAP.
