Reservationist

About the role

The Reservationist will manage all guest bookings for a luxury game lodge, ensuring a smooth experience from enquiry to arrival. This full‑time, onsite position requires delivering exceptional customer service while supporting occupancy and revenue goals.

Key responsibilities

• Process new reservations, amendments, cancellations and special requests via phone, email, website, travel agents and online platforms.
• Maintain accurate guest profiles, room allocations and reservation data in the Property Management System (PMS).
• Prepare daily arrival, departure and occupancy reports and communicate details to Front Office, Housekeeping, Guides and other departments.
• Respond promptly to guest enquiries, providing information on accommodation, rates, safari activities, dining and special requests.
• Coordinate guest itineraries, transfers, dietary requirements and VIP arrangements.
• Generate booking confirmations, invoices, quotations and manage deposits, payments and refunds.
• Liaise with travel agents and tour operators to promote packages and achieve occupancy targets.
• Ensure confidentiality of guest information and compliance with lodge SOPs, health and safety standards.
