Reservationist

About the role

The Reservationist will manage all guest reservations for a luxury game lodge, ensuring a smooth booking experience from enquiry to arrival. This full‑time, onsite position requires weekend and public‑holiday work and involves close collaboration with multiple operational departments.

Key responsibilities

• Handle reservations received via telephone, email, website, travel agents and online platforms; process bookings, amendments, cancellations and special requests.
• Maintain accurate guest profiles, reservation details and room allocations in the Property Management System (PMS).
• Monitor room availability, maximise occupancy and prepare daily arrival, departure and occupancy reports.
• Communicate reservation details to Front Office, Housekeeping, Kitchen, Guides, Maintenance and Management.
• Respond promptly to guest enquiries, provide information on accommodation, rates, game drives, facilities and activities, and coordinate itineraries, transfers and special requests.
• Prepare booking confirmations, invoices, quotations and manage deposits, payments and refunds.
• Promote accommodation packages and additional lodge services to support occupancy and revenue targets.
• Maintain confidentiality of guest information and ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards.

Required skills
