Reservation Manager

About the role

As the first point of contact for guests, the Reservation Manager ensures every booking is handled with care and reflects Mama Shelter’s vibrant personality. This role is pivotal during the pre‑opening phase of Mama Shelter Cape Town, supporting the creation of a seamless and memorable guest journey.

Key responsibilities

• Process all reservations accurately and efficiently, adhering to brand standards.
• Deliver personalised guest interactions from the initial enquiry through to confirmation.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management and Sales to maximise occupancy and support revenue strategies.
• Set up reservation processes, systems, standards and procedures ahead of the hotel opening.
• Maintain precise reservation records, manage room inventory and capture guest preferences and special requests.
• Coordinate closely with Front Office, Sales, Revenue and Operations teams to ensure alignment and smooth hand‑over.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to work in a fast‑paced, pre‑opening environment.
• Team player who can collaborate across multiple departments.
