Reporting and Regulatory Accountant

About the role

The Reporting and Regulatory Accountant will ensure the preparation of accurate financial statements and statutory submissions in line with IFRS and South African legislation. You will support senior management with insightful analysis and help drive continuous improvement in reporting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to IFRS.
• Manage statutory and regulatory reporting, ensuring compliance with the Companies Act and other relevant legislation.
• Develop budgets, forecasts and perform variance analysis for management reporting.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing required documentation and support.
• Lead process‑improvement initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Coach and supervise junior finance staff, ensuring adherence to internal controls.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (SA) qualification or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting, regulatory compliance and statutory submissions.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, Companies Act and related legislation.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage audit processes.
• Detail‑oriented with the capacity to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
