Reporting Accountant

About the role

Network Finance is seeking a motivated Reporting Accountant to join a leading manufacturing and mining organisation. The role offers a clear career path toward a Financial Manager position, providing exposure to monthly, quarterly and annual reporting under IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in line with IFRS.
• Compile and review management accounts and reporting packs.
• Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and maintain general‑ledger integrity.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Analyse results, comment on variances and support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors during audit engagements.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax and reporting requirements.
• Drive continuous improvements in reporting processes and controls.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting or CA(SA) qualification.
• 3–5 years of financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Experience in manufacturing, mining or heavy‑industrial sectors is advantageous.
• Stable employment history with a desire for long‑term career growth.
