Remote Tax Accountant – US Client Focus

About the role

This remote position supports US‑based clients from the East Coast, delivering complex tax compliance and planning services. You will work directly with businesses, individuals, trusts and nonprofit organisations while mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex US tax returns for a variety of entities.
• Develop proactive tax planning strategies to minimise liabilities and ensure compliance.
• Maintain strong client relationships through high‑quality service and advice.
• Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering technical growth.
• Stay current with US tax legislation and communicate updates to clients and colleagues.
• Collaborate with firm leadership to improve processes and drive practice success.
• Manage multiple engagements simultaneously, meeting deadlines and quality standards.

Required profile

• CA(SA), SAIPA, Registered Tax Practitioner or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of public accounting tax experience.
• Significant exposure to US tax return preparation and review.
• Strong knowledge of US federal tax regulations.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
