Remote Site Paramedic (Pooling)

About the role

We are seeking a Remote Site Paramedic to deliver acute health care and emergency support to clients operating in remote locations. The role involves on‑call triage, coordination of aero‑medical evacuations, and ensuring compliance with occupational health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide acute health care to remote clients in line with International SOS policies.
• Organise and support aero‑medical evacuations in liaison with the Sydney Alarm Centre.
• Deliver on‑call after‑hours triage and refer to the Site Medical Officer or other health professionals as needed.
• Conduct health monitoring, diagnostic referrals, and administer drugs and immunisations as directed.
• Ensure compliance with privacy laws and client contractual agreements.
• Advise managers on occupational health, return‑to‑work policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support and up‑skill site ambulance drivers and maintain ambulance equipment.
• Liaise with all parties involved in employee injury management.
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to provide timely, tailored services.

Required profile

• Minimum four years’ experience as an acute‑care paramedic or registered nurse.
• Current state registration as a paramedic and valid authority to practice.
• Graduate Certificate/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (desirable).
• Experience in aero‑medical evacuation, injury rehabilitation and training development.
• Familiarity with state workers’ compensation legislation.
• Strong communication, teamwork and report‑writing abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence and punctual attendance.
