Remote Personal Injury Legal Secretary (Cape Town)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑driven Legal Secretary to provide remote support to a UK‑based personal injury firm. Based in Cape Town, you will work closely with multiple fee earners, ensuring their caseloads run smoothly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Produce high‑quality documents from audio and digital dictation.
• Prepare, format and proofread legal correspondence and other documents.
• Manage communications with clients, courts and counsel via email and telephone.
• Coordinate diaries, schedule meetings and organise appointments.
• Assist with court bundles, legal schedules and case documentation.
• Track and report on work output on a monthly basis.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, specifically within personal injury.
• Strong dictaphone typing skills with excellent accuracy and speed.
• Clear, professional English communication (written and verbal).
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and formatting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across several fee earners.
• Comfortable using legal systems and digital tools.
• Reliable internet connection and a professional home working setup.
• Must be based in Cape Town, South Africa.
