Remote Employment Lawyer (South Africa)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified South Africa‑based lawyer to join Monaco Solicitors’ remote team and support our UK employment law practice. The role offers full training, exposure to UK employment cases and the chance to work with cutting‑edge legal technology and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Handle new client enquiries and conduct eligibility assessments for the Access to Justice Scheme.
• Draft “without prejudice” letters, schedules of loss and employment tribunal claim forms using AI‑assisted tools.
• Communicate with clients and respondents under supervision.
• Utilise internal legal tech to manage workflows and participate in remote team meetings and training.
• Perform legal admin tasks and support UK solicitors with research, correspondence and negotiations.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with experience in contentious matters.
• Proven legal drafting and research abilities.
• Strong negotiation skills and passion for access to justice.
• Self‑employed, able to work full‑time remotely with excellent organisation.
• Fluent written and spoken English and reliable, detail‑oriented work ethic.
