Remote Data Protection Officer (PII Compliance)

About the role

We are seeking a Remote Data Protection Officer to lead PII compliance for a global IT services and consulting client. The role focuses on developing privacy strategies, ensuring adherence to international regulations, and mitigating data‑processing risks.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain data‑protection policies aligned with GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA and other privacy laws.
• Conduct regular audits, privacy impact assessments and compliance reviews.
• Act as the primary contact for internal and external data‑protection inquiries.
• Monitor privacy risks, produce reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver training and awareness programs on data‑privacy best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Law or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Professional certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM or CISSP are preferred.
• Proven experience with DPIAs and privacy‑by‑design frameworks.
• Strong analytical abilities to identify compliance gaps and implement solutions.
