Relationship Manager: Forex

About the role

The Relationship Manager – Forex is responsible for retaining and expanding a portfolio of high‑value foreign exchange clients. The role delivers specialist FX solutions, exceptional service and strategic financial guidance while driving non‑interest revenue growth through new client acquisition and cross‑selling of banking products.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve non‑interest revenue (NIR) targets and grow FX turnover and wallet share.
• Acquire new‑to‑bank foreign exchange customers and deepen existing relationships.
• Identify and pursue cross‑sell opportunities across the bank’s product suite.
• Maintain accurate client information, perform KYC verification and ensure compliance with SARB, FICA, AML and sanctions screening requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage credit, onboarding and risk assessments.
• Track pipeline performance, update CRM and prepare regular portfolio and revenue reports.

Required profile

• National Diploma in Finance or Certificate in Banking.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role within the financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, cash flow and business operations.

Required skills

• Foreign exchange products, international payments and FX market knowledge.
• Cross‑border banking and treasury solutions.
• Exchange Control Regulations, SARB requirements, FICA, AML and sanctions screening.
• Credit principles, risk assessment and portfolio performance analysis.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and technology to improve client experience.
