Registered Nurse – Siyathuthuka Care Centre

About the role

The Life Healthcare Group is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Siyathuthuka Care Centre in Johannesburg. Reporting to the Unit Manager, the nurse will be responsible for delivering high‑quality, ethical patient care in line with legislation and professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure professional, ethical nursing practice and compliance with the Mental Healthcare Act 17 of 2002.
• Provide and supervise nursing care, develop comprehensive care plans and coordinate the healthcare team delivering basic care.
• Enhance patient satisfaction through health education, complaint management and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a safe emotional and physical environment by supporting SHEQ and infection‑control measures.
• Contribute to business efficiency through cost‑effective care, stock management and accurate billing.

Required profile

• General Nursing Degree or Diploma and registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Relevant nursing experience, preferably in psychiatric or private healthcare settings.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and mentor junior staff.
