Registered Nurse – Rehabilitation Unit

About the role

The Rehabilitation Unit at Life Eugene Marais Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high‑quality patient care and supervise nursing activities. You will report to the Nursing Service Co‑ordinator and work closely with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide and supervise nursing care in line with legislation and ethical codes.
• Develop, implement and monitor comprehensive nursing care plans.
• Coordinate nursing activities of the healthcare team delivering basic care.
• Enhance patient satisfaction through quality‑improvement initiatives and complaint management.
• Maintain a safe, emotionally and physically secure environment, including infection‑control measures.
• Contribute to business efficiency by managing stock, case documentation and billing.
• Coach, mentor and support performance management of unit staff.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) or equivalent.
• General Nursing Degree or Diploma.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Relevant nursing experience, preferably in rehabilitation.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to shift patterns.
