Registered Nurse – Perioperative

About the role

The Perioperative Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Working under the direction of the department manager or team leader, the RN ensures safe admission, intra‑operative support, and coordinated discharge planning.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and adjust patient care plans.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge patients while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Conduct ongoing patient assessments and report significant changes promptly.
• Develop and update individualized care plans, including goals, interventions, and evaluations.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members for patient education and wellness promotion.
• Participate in research awareness activities and identify opportunities for practice improvement.

Required profile

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN license and CPR certification.
• ACLS, PALS or TNCC certification as required by policy.
• Previous RN experience in a related care area is preferred.
