Registered Nurse – Patient Care (AN 64)

About the role

Our client is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join a professional healthcare team in Pretoria. The role offers the chance to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care in a supportive yet fast‑paced environment, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in line with the SANC scope of practice, following individual care plans.
• Monitor, assess and respond to patient conditions to ensure recovery, comfort and well‑being.
• Oversee patient hygiene and daily care performed by caregivers.
• Administer medication, manage wound care and support rehabilitation processes as prescribed.
• Maintain medication availability and communicate treatment plans to patients and families.
• Identify and manage patient risks, applying infection prevention and control protocols.
• Maintain a safe, clean and compliant clinical environment.
• Conduct regular bedside visits, track progress and communicate pain management and recovery plans.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support overall patient wellness.
• Keep accurate patient records in line with regulatory and POPIA requirements.
• Ensure compliance with SANC registration, facility policies and healthcare regulations.

Required profile

• Compassionate, dedicated and able to work in a fast‑paced healthcare setting.
• Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) and compliant with all relevant regulations.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
