About the role

Join Netcare Kroon Hospital as a Registered Nurse on the Paediatrics Ward, providing holistic, person‑centred care to children and their families. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high‑quality treatment in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care for paediatric patients.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, allied health professionals and families.
• Serve as a clinical resource, guiding staff in nursing documentation and care processes.
• Maintain clear communication between nursing management and the unit to resolve care issues.
• Initiate and manage emergency treatment (RESUS) when required.
• Conduct patient and family interviews to gather background information and identify needs.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, develop care plans, and document shift activities.
• Contribute to policy and procedure development for patient care.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualified to practice in a hospital setting.
• Commitment to holistic, patient‑centred nursing based on scientific theory.
• Strong advocacy skills for patients and families.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Competence in emergency response and resuscitation.
