Registered Nurse – Operating Theatre (Qualified & Experienced)

About the role
Plan, coordinate and manage resources – personnel, equipment, stock and finance – within the operating theatre unit to ensure optimal patient care.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure health care is provided to all patients in line with company policies, procedures and standards.
- Plan, organise and control all theatre activities, ensuring staff adherence to policies.
- Process relevant documentation according to standard operational procedures.
- Develop and maintain staff skills development plans and provide continuous training as needed.
- Uphold quality standards and control measures throughout the unit.
- Contribute actively to teamwork and maintain continuous efficiency.
Required profile
- Four‑year general nursing qualification and registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
- Minimum of 2 years relevant theatre scrub experience (RNQ) and a post‑basic diploma in Operating Theatre nursing.
- Ability to implement and maintain health practice standards and comply with relevant legislation.
- Own transport and willingness to work on‑call shifts during weekdays and weekends.
