Registered Nurse

About the role

The Life Healthcare Group is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the team at Siyathuthuka Care Centre in Johannesburg. Reporting to the Unit Manager, the nurse will deliver high‑quality patient care in line with legislation and ethical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide and supervise nursing care according to the Mental Healthcare Act 17 of 2002 and relevant ethical codes.
• Develop, implement and monitor comprehensive nursing care plans.
• Coordinate nursing activities of the healthcare team and ensure safe, emotionally supportive environments.
• Deliver health education talks to patients, families and visitors.
• Enhance patient satisfaction through quality‑improvement initiatives and manage patient complaints.
• Contribute to business efficiency by supporting cost‑effective care, stock management and billing processes.
• Assist in performance management, staff development and recognition programmes.

Required profile

• General Nursing Degree or Diploma.
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing is an advantage.
