Registered Nurse - ICU Trained

About the role

We are looking for an ICU‑trained Registered Nurse to join a dynamic Critical Care team in Cape Town. The role involves delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care to critically ill individuals in a fast‑paced intensive care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialised nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
• Continuously assess, monitor and manage patients requiring advanced critical care.
• Administer prescribed medications and specialised treatments according to clinical protocols.
• Operate and monitor specialised ICU equipment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with doctors and the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and uphold infection‑prevention and clinical‑governance standards.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Critical Care Nursing.
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• 3–5 years of ICU nursing experience.

Required skills

• Operation of specialised ICU equipment.
• Administration of critical care medications and treatments.
• Advanced clinical assessment and critical‑thinking abilities.
