Registered Nurse – General Ward (Birch/Cedar)

About the role

Life Vincent Pallotti Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its General Ward (Birch/Cedar). Reporting to the Unit Manager, you will deliver holistic, high‑quality nursing care to critically ill patients, supporting the hospital’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide basic and specialised nursing care, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Communicate continuously with patients and families about condition and care plans.
• Administer medication in line with ethical and legal standards.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with internal policies and protocols.
• Manage stock, staff hours and leave according to unit policies.
• Support infection control and SHEQ initiatives, reporting incidents as required.
• Ensure equipment is functional daily and coordinate maintenance with clinical engineers.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or diploma in Nursing.
• Experience in the appropriate nursing specialisation.
• Strong customer orientation, energetic, well‑organised and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexi‑hours and on‑call roster.
