Registered Nurse – Community Care at Home

About the role

Robin Trust’s Community Care @ Home Agency is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead clinical care, coordinate home‑based carers and ensure high‑quality patient services across private homes and institutions in Cape Town.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical care to patients and conduct home visits and client file audits.
• Report client health status to doctors and staff and oversee patient assessments at homes or medical facilities.
• Select and orient care workers, deliver training workshops and manage performance or disciplinary issues.
• Develop marketing strategies, manage contracts, timesheets, payments and liaison with medical aids and facilities.
• Ensure quality assessments, letters of motivation and feedback are completed, reviewed and actioned.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with current SANC registration and membership.
• 10–15 years of clinical practice, including private community health and managed health‑care experience.
• Valid driver’s licence, own car and good geographic knowledge of Cape Town.
• Minimum five years of staff management and experience with disciplinary procedures.
• Strong communication skills, empathy and ability to work unsupervised in high‑pressure environments.

Required skills

• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Proficiency with computer applications and mobile app usage for scheduling and reporting.
• Up‑to‑date SANC registration.
