Regional Sales Manager

About the role

The Regional Sales Manager will lead the Durban branch, ensuring it operates to the standards set by the Johannesburg head office. The role combines full operational oversight, stock control, and the development of a strong customer base across Durban and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Durban warehouse, including staff management and HR matters.
• Manage deliveries, fleet maintenance, fuel usage and monthly expense reporting.
• Control inventory through regular stock takes, receipts, safekeeping and asset management.
• Develop and execute sales strategies, forecast revenue, and prepare sales budgets.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis and propose promotional initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and key partners, delivering presentations and proposals.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) completed and computer literate, especially in Excel.
• Minimum three years of experience in a high‑pressure sales environment; management experience preferred.
• Strong analytical ability to understand costings, margins and commercial terms.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Mathematical competence for cost and margin analysis.
