Regional Sales Manager

About the role

The Regional Sales Manager will lead the Personal and Private Banking sales team in Pretoria, driving performance against Nedbank’s strategic objectives. The role focuses on building stakeholder relationships, ensuring resource alignment, and fostering a culture of transformation and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, providing regular feedback and identifying collaboration opportunities.
• Plan and monitor team capacity, set sales targets, and track performance against financial and transformational goals.
• Coach, mentor and evaluate staff, implementing performance agreements and talent development programmes.
• Manage the sales budget, ensure profitability of distribution channels, and recommend improvements for under‑performing areas.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding and retention initiatives to build a high‑performing team.
• Ensure compliance with relevant processes, procedures and Nedbank’s culture and values.
• Stay updated on industry developments and contribute to business strategy and corporate social investment initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales leadership, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma; Matric/Grade 12 is the minimum qualification.
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets, manage budgets and drive operational excellence.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to coaching, talent development and cultural transformation.
