Regional Sales and Merchandising Manager (KZN)

About the role

We are seeking an energetic, commercially‑minded Regional Sales and Merchandising Manager to lead our Kwa‑Zulu Natal team. Reporting to the National Sales & Merchandising Manager, you will combine strategic planning with hands‑on field work to drive growth and ensure top‑class store execution.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve profitable regional sales growth and meet monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
• Recruit, coach, and performance‑manage a team of Sales Representatives and Merchandisers.
• Develop and implement regional sales strategies to increase market share.
• Oversee route planning, resource allocation, productivity and cost control.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure exceptional service delivery.
• Ensure merchandising standards, stock availability, planogram compliance and in‑store execution.
• Identify opportunities to expand shelf space and improve product visibility.
• Monitor sales performance, market trends and competitor activity.
• Produce accurate reports and communicate with Head Office and other departments.
• Conduct regular field visits to coach team members and support key customers.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification; tertiary qualification (Diploma or Degree) is an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years FMCG sales experience.
• Leadership or management experience is beneficial.
• Strong coaching and people‑management abilities.
• Excellent commercial awareness and confidence working with retail customers.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
