Regional Procurement Lead – Africa

About the role

Aggreko is seeking a Regional Procurement Lead for Africa to drive its growth and sustainability agenda. You will lead a team of buyers and specialists, ensuring the supply chain, quality and pricing meet best‑in‑class standards while supporting on‑shoring initiatives across the continent.

Key responsibilities

• Own relationships with internal customers and collaborate closely with the global category team.
• Implement regional category strategies and align them with local, regional and global requirements.
• Develop, coach and lead the procurement team to deliver on budget and financial targets.
• Conduct sourcing activities including supplier evaluation, market analysis, negotiation, contracting and ongoing supplier management.
• Manage risk reporting and compliance with READ, P2P policy and other controls.

Required profile

• Proven procurement expertise with a focus on operational complexity and value creation.
• Strategic thinker who challenges norms to improve efficiency.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Effective communicator at all organisational levels.
• Leadership ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Fluent in English; additional language is a plus.
