Regional Key Account Manager – South Africa

About the role

This position focuses on expanding the solar tracker business across the African continent, with a particular emphasis on South Africa and the East and West Africa regions. The Regional Key Account Manager will drive tracker bookings, lead bid processes, and coordinate contract execution while building strong relationships with key customers.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve tracker bookings across the region and organize the progress, implementation, and delivery of business opportunities.
• Lead bids, managing the process from Letter of Intent through contract signing to Notice to Proceed, including negotiation of Incoterms (DDP/DAP), LC terms, SARB/MOF approvals, 10‑year warranty and performance bonds.
• Sell solar tracker solutions such as Vanguard 2P for sandy/high‑wind sites, SuperTrack Smart Backtracking, and 0° stow configurations.
• Develop and manage key account relationships to secure and advance orders, influence specifications at the pre‑RFP stage, and host client visits to manufacturing facilities.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of B2B solar sales experience, with at least 4 years focused on tracker products.
• Strong network and familiarity with tracker products and market channels in Africa.
• Technical background with deep knowledge of 1P/2P trackers, wind design standards (ASCE 7‑16), IEC 62817, and SCADA systems.
• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical engineering; MBA preferred.
• Fluent English required; Arabic advantageous; Mandarin a plus.
