Regional Commercial Director – Southern Africa (Hybrid)

About the role

Sales Fraternity is a fast‑growing polymer distribution and trading business operating across Southern Africa. We are looking for an entrepreneurial commercial leader to drive the next phase of growth, develop the sales strategy and build a high‑performance sales organisation for the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the regional commercial strategy to drive revenue and margin growth.
• Identify new market opportunities and lead expansion initiatives in South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique, DRC, Botswana, Namibia, Tanzania and Angola.
• Lead negotiations with key customers, strategic accounts and global polymer producers.
• Manage pricing strategy, profitability and commercial risk in close collaboration with finance and operations.
• Build, mentor and manage regional sales teams, establishing performance management systems and KPIs.
• Support procurement and trading activities by developing sourcing opportunities with Middle‑Eastern, Asian and European suppliers.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the polymer industry, with at least 5 years in a senior commercial leadership role.
• Proven track record of selling polymers and growing revenue across multiple Southern African markets.
• Strong existing relationships with customers in polymer converting industries and with global polymer producers.
• Experience managing both distributor and direct‑customer channels.
• Highly entrepreneurial, commercially aggressive and comfortable operating in emerging markets.

What we offer

• Salary range R40,000 – R70,000 per month (excluding commission and KPI incentives), negotiable based on experience.
