Receptionist & Brand Ambassador

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Receptionist (Brand Ambassador) to be the first point of contact for visitors, callers and suppliers at our Cape Town showroom. You will uphold Shimansky’s premium image while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome visitors and manage incoming calls with professional phone etiquette.
• Direct clients and suppliers to the appropriate team members.
• Handle front‑desk administrative and clerical tasks, including scheduling appointments.
• Maintain a reception area that consistently reflects the Shimansky brand.
• Provide high‑quality customer service and support showroom activities.
• Assist sales and management teams with basic administrative support.
• Represent Shimansky’s values, demonstrate product knowledge and contribute to a premium client experience.

Required profile

• Strong receptionist and front‑desk skills.
• Excellent phone etiquette and professional communication abilities.
• Proven customer‑service focus with a commitment to brand representation.
• Polished, professional appearance suitable for a luxury retail environment.
• Attention to detail, reliability and strong organisational abilities.
• Comfort working in a fast‑paced showroom and coordinating multiple tasks.
• Prior experience in retail, hospitality or luxury brands is advantageous.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with office software and booking systems.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
