Receiving Clerk – Tambotie Mall, Randfontein

About the role

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a Receiving Clerk to join the team at its Tambotie Mall store in Randfontein. You will be responsible for the efficient and accurate receipt, verification and packing of stock in line with company SOPs and store requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Verify, scan and capture all goods received, ensuring they match invoices and purchase orders.
• Receive warehouse deliveries and process invoices according to company policy.
• Return unordered or damaged goods and complete credit notes for non‑acceptance.
• Assist the Receiving Manager with logging warehouse claims.
• Ensure same‑day receipt of deliveries and forward stock to the shop floor.
• Process supplier returns in compliance with SOPs.
• Maintain physical controls, keep storerooms orderly and manage high‑risk stock.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• Computer literate with sound numerical skills.
• Willing and able to work retail hours and lift boxes of 20 kg or more.
• Reliable transport or residence close to the store.
• South African citizen with clear credit and criminal records.

Required skills

• Knowledge of receiving operating procedures and administration.
• Ability to operate the stock rotating system.
• Strong command of English and effective interaction with suppliers and staff.
