About the role
The Radiotherapy Planner joins the Radiation Therapy Planning Team at Netcare Head Office. Working closely with the onsite medical physicist, the role focuses on patient simulation, creation of accurate treatment plans and ensuring quality assurance in line with oncologist prescriptions.
Key responsibilities
- Perform simulation of radiotherapy patients.
- Design and calculate precise treatment plans based on clinical or radiation oncologist orders.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on all treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the onsite medical physicist to maintain standards and best practices.
- Ensure all planning activities comply with established clinical protocols.
Required profile
- Experience in radiotherapy treatment planning.
- Knowledge of clinical radiation oncology guidelines.
- Ability to work accurately under established standards.
Required skills
- Patient simulation for radiotherapy.
- Radiotherapy treatment planning calculations.
- Quality assurance of treatment plans.
