Quality Engineer (Manual + Automation)

About the role

We’re looking for a seasoned Quality Engineer who’s strong across both manual and automation testing. You’ll plan and execute test cycles, build and maintain UI/API automation, triage defects, and integrate tests into CI/CD—working with Engineering and Product to keep releases on track.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute test strategies, plans, and test cases.
• Build, extend, and maintain automation suites (UI & API) using scalable patterns such as Page Object, Screenplay, and data‑driven tests.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Perform API testing and database validation (SQL), including test data design and environment readiness.
• Track and communicate defects, trends, and quality metrics with clear, actionable reporting.
• Work in Agile/Scrum teams, contribute to definition of done/acceptance criteria, and advocate shift‑left quality.
• Continuously improve testability, tooling, and processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years in QA/QE with strong manual testing fundamentals and proven test automation experience.
• Hands‑on experience with UI frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium/WebDriver.
• Strong API testing skills using Postman, REST Assured or similar, and solid SQL knowledge for data checks.
• Experience wiring automation into CI/CD pipelines and using version control (Git).
• Familiarity with test‑management tools (Azure Test Plans, TestRail, Zephyr/Xray) and work‑tracking tools (Azure DevOps, Jira).
• Proficiency in scripting/coding with TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, C# or Python for test code and utilities.
• Comfortable collaborating with developers, product owners, and stakeholders in a hybrid on‑site/remote setup.
