Quality Engineer (Developer) – Securities Lending (Contract)

About the role

The Quality Engineer (Developer) will ensure the highest standards of software quality for securities lending applications within a banking environment. Working closely with developers and business analysts, you will embed quality assurance best practices throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks aligned with project requirements.
• Conduct manual functional, regression, integration, and user‑acceptance testing of securities lending software.
• Collaborate with developers and analysts to translate requirements into effective test cases.
• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, ensuring timely resolution.
• Analyse test results and produce detailed quality reports for decision‑making.
• Support continuous improvement by recommending process enhancements and automation opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies related to securities lending.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand‑ups to support agile development practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer, QA Analyst, or Developer in banking/finance, specifically securities lending.
• Strong understanding of securities lending operations, market practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working in agile environments with agile testing practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
