Quality Control (QC) Manager – Pharmaceutical

About the role

We are looking for a meticulous Quality Control (QC) Manager to lead our QC laboratory within a GMP‑regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing site. Reporting to the Head of Quality, you will ensure product quality, audit readiness and continuous improvement across all QC activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day QC operations in a GMP environment.
• Lead and supervise QC personnel and laboratory activities.
• Oversee outsourced laboratories and GMP‑regulated service providers.
• Drive investigations of out‑of‑specification/out‑of‑trend results, deviations, CAPAs and root‑cause analyses.
• Supervise stability programs, analytical testing and data‑integrity controls.
• Maintain ongoing GMP audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Support continuous improvement and quality risk‑management initiatives.
• Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain and Regulatory teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Quality Management or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in pharmaceutical or highly regulated manufacturing.
• Minimum 3 years in a QC leadership or supervisory role.
• Proven ability to manage teams in GMP‑regulated environments.

Required skills

• Knowledge of PIC/S GMP, EU GMP, SAHPRA, GACP, WHO GMP and ALCOA+ principles.
